Lighting installation for homes

Lighting installation covers a wide range, from swapping a single fitting to wiring an entire false ceiling of downlights and cove lighting. We do not supply the fittings themselves, our prices cover installation, so you choose the fixtures and we wire and mount them.

What we install

• Downlights and standard light points
• Ceiling fans, including remote and smart controlled models
• LED strip and power track lighting
• Curtain track and smart curtain track wiring
• LED cove lighting, wired ahead of the false ceiling going up

What it costs

Downlight installation starts from $15 per point, installation only and the same price regardless of wiring type. Ceiling fan installation starts from $75. Power track installation, up to 1.5m, starts from $48. Curtain track and smart curtain track installation starts from $80 for tracks up to 2m, with $30 added per extra metre.

Cove lighting and false ceiling work is usually quoted after seeing the ceiling plan, since the point count and cable routing vary by layout.

If you are renovating

Lighting has to be wired before the false ceiling goes up, which means the lighting plan needs to be finalised earlier in the renovation than most people expect. If your ceiling contractor is already scheduled, tell us the date and we will coordinate the wiring to fit around it rather than the other way round.
